Some journeys begin with adventure. Others begin with purpose. Ours begins with both. This April, we, Ami and Martha, are joining the Cash & Rocket Tour, driving from Charleston to Miami as part of a global movement of women using their collective voices, networks, and determination to create real change in the lives of women and children. While the road will take us across cities, the true journey lies far beyond the miles we will travel. It lives in a rural classroom in South Africa, where a young girl with extraordinary potential dreams of becoming the first in her family to attend university. Through the work of Sumbandila, students like her receive not only an education but mentorship, leadership training, and the belief that their future can be different from their circumstances. It lives in Miami, where a child walks into school for the first time with the confidence that comes from having the supplies, clothing, and support they need to feel seen and valued. Through Style Saves, thousands of young people are given not just resources, but dignity and opportunity. And it lives in Charleston, where mentorship and access to new experiences can shift the trajectory of a young person’s life, opening doors they may never have known existed. Through Impact Charleston, students are encouraged to dream bigger and believe in their own potential. These are not abstract causes. They are real lives, real futures, and real possibilities. Our participation in Cash & Rocket is about more than a rally or a drive. It is about leveraging our energy, time, and community to help create pathways for young people to access education, mentorship, and opportunity. We believe that when women come together with intention and heart, their collective impact can reach far beyond what any one of us could achieve alone. Every donation, no matter the size, contributes directly to programs that empower children and young people to build stronger, more hopeful futures. As we make our way from Charleston to Miami, we carry with us the stories of those whose lives can be transformed through the generosity of this community.
